The winter semester has started and we are taking a look at our workshops taking place in November and December 2025 and, then, in January 2026. Still available and for flexible use at any time: our webcasts on career development. Furthermore, we present events of our partners, different information as well as calls AND, as always, a highlight of the month - be sure to scroll to the end!

Good academic practice and generative AI
How should research results be documented? How to cite correctly? How do you deal with image sources? Answers to questions about correct scientific work can be found in the eLearning course Good academic practice in the doctorate.At the end of 2024, the University of Oldenburg also published general recommendations for dealing with (generative) AI in the doctoral field published.

Highlight of the month
Panel discussion New horizons: career paths for scientists with doctorates
The panel discussion jointly organised by BYRD (University of Bremen) and the Graduate Academy (University of Oldenburg) will bring together doctoral candidates and postdocs with scientists with a PhD from various professional fields to reflect on and discuss their career paths, decisions and key skills. Please register by email. The panel discussion will be held in German language.
