The Department of Computing Science achieved excellent results in the latest university ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE). In many areas, Computing Science in Oldenburg belongs to the top group in German-speaking countries. Very good results with over 4 out of 5 stars were achieved in areas such as the management of studies, support from teaching staff, support during studies, library facilities, IT equipment and support for stays abroad. The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive comparison of universities in the German-speaking world. It is based on surveys of around 120,000 students and more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences/universities of applied sciences (HAW) as well as dual universities and vocational academies. In addition to facts about studies, teaching and research, the ranking includes students' judgements on study conditions, such as supervision, examinations, library facilities and study abroad. This year, the subjects of biochemistry, biology/biosciences, chemistry, geography, geosciences, computing science, mathematics, medicine, nursing science, pharmacy, physics, political science, sport/sports science and dentistry were analysed.
