Teaching materials
In the advanced module on "Language Variation in Northern Germany" (lecturers: Prof. Dr Jörg Peters and Marina Frank), teaching videos on the REDE SprachGIS were produced in the winter semester 2020/21. The REDE SprachGIS is a research-centred information system that contains information on German dialects and regiolects (language maps, audio recordings, literature, etc.). It is also possible to create your own maps in SprachGIS. You can also upload and map your own data.
The instructional videos start with the first visit to the website www.regionalsprache.de, then show the research options and end with mapping your own data. A total of 7 videos have been produced.
Video 1: Getting started with REDE SprachGIS
Video 2: Map search
Video 3-4: Research
Video 5-7: Mapping
The videos are published on the website of the Regionalsprache.de project. You can find the videos here.
