At the stand at ‘Job4u’, anyone interested can chat to trainees and trainers, as well as view and try out various exhibits relating to jobs at the university.

Visitors can also find out about study opportunities at the university, as the Central Student and Career Advisory Service will also be present. For degree programmes with no entry requirements, last-minute applicants can still enrol for the upcoming winter semester until 15 October. Applications for the 2027 apprenticeship places are open until 11 October. The deadline for the administrative assistant apprenticeship is 25 October.

With around 3,000 staff in research, teaching, technical services and administration, the University of Oldenburg is one of the largest employers in the north-west. This year, the following trainees have started their training: three electronics technicians for equipment and systems, three administrative assistants, two chemical laboratory assistants, two IT specialists, two precision mechanics, two gardeners (specialising in perennials and in horticulture and landscaping), one media and information services assistant specialising in library services, and one trainee in media design (image and sound).
