Sustainable behaviour is becoming increasingly important for the economy. So-called Business Environmental Information Systems (BUIS) help by processing and making available operational and environmentally relevant information.
The 5th BUIS Days, which will take place from 24 to 26 April at the PFL Cultural Centre in Oldenburg, will address this topic and focus on IT-supported resource and energy management. The conference has been organised by Oldenburg business informatics specialist Prof. Dr. Jorge Marx Gómez with Prof. Dr. Corinna V. Lang (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Volker Wohlgemuth (HTW Berlin).
In presentations, experts from Germany and abroad will provide information on topics such as "Green IT & Energy Efficiency", "Green Production & Logistics", "Material Efficiency & Recycling", "Material Flow Management", "Sustainability Management and Communication", "Sustainable Mobility" and "Green Software".
"Energy Aware Software Engineering and Development" is the title of an English-language workshop that will be offered as part of the BUIS Days under the direction of Oldenburg Computing Science expert Prof Dr Andreas Winter. The conference programme also includes an evening event at the Oldenburg photo service CEWE Color. A poster session and business-science speed dating round off the programme.
