Series of lectures on the topic of health

"Health in interdisciplinary dialogue" - Prof. Dr Eckhart G. Hahn, founding dean of the future School of Medicine, opens the Institute of Philosophy's series of lectures with a lecture on this topic.

"Health in interdisciplinary dialogue" - Prof. Dr Eckhart G. Hahn, founding dean of the future School of Medicine, will open the Institute of Philosophy's series of lectures with a lecture on this topic. The event will take place on Monday, 16 April at 10.00 a.m. and is open to the public (Haarentor campus, Building A 14, Lecture Hall 3).

From the winter semester, the University of Oldenburg, in cooperation with the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, will be offering the first cross-border degree programme in human medicine with a model character. "Reason enough to make health the topic of the series of lectures and to allow representatives from as many disciplines as possible to have their say," says Prof Dr Reinhard Schulz, professor at the Institute of Philosophy. 2012 will also be the year of the inauguration of the Jaspers House, a research and educational institute in memory of the Oldenburg-born physician, philosopher and political writer Karl Jaspers. The individual lectures therefore relate both to the current health situation, the contributions of Oldenburg health research and Jaspers' medical and philosophical work.
