Current trends in school and quality development will be the focus of a large-scale conference at the University of Oldenburg from 19 to 21 March.
More than 190 participants are expected to attend the 8th North German Workshop Days entitled "Putting school and quality development to the test! Empirical findings, practical experience, theoretical analyses".
Over the past 25 years, school and quality development has taken on an outstanding significance for both school practice and educational research. Teachers and school leaders have invested a great deal of time and effort in the development of their schools. School and education authorities have made extensive investments in the quality development of schools. But to what benefit? In 39 presentations, speakers from German-speaking countries will discuss the viability of concepts for school and quality development and debate these with school leaders and teachers.
The conference is organised by the Oldenburg Training Centre (OFZ) of the University of Oldenburg in co-operation with the University of Vechta (Centre for Reflective Personal and Organisational Development), the Bremen State Institute for Schools (LIS), the Institute for Quality Development in Schools Schleswig-Holstein (IQSH) and the Institute for Quality Development, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (IQMV).
