The aim of this didactic conference is to exchange and discuss the first and second phase of teacher training in the subject of Dutch as well as current didactic developments. Dutch teachers as well as teachers and didactics experts from various universities and schools will give presentations.
Prof. Dr Sjuts (Head of the Studienseminar Leer), Mr Wetschewald (Studienseminar Kleve) and Mr Ulrichs (Studienseminar Leer) will provide information about the traineeship in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia, present the new Dutch core curriculum and draw attention to possible and important interfaces and difficulties in the transition to the second phase of teacher training.
Subject didactic presentations by Dr Wenzel (Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster) and Mr J. Blokker (Studienseminar Nordhorn) will provide information on new developments in Dutch subject didactics and will be available for joint discussions. Furthermore, Prof. Dr Lierop-Debrauwer (Tilburg University) will give a lecture on literature didactics with a special focus on novels for young people.
Mrs v. d. Maden (International School Groningen) will provide insights into the development of teaching and learning materials. Furthermore, Mrs F. Reitsma (C.v.O. University of Oldenburg) will talk about the currently emerging preparation of Dutch foreign language didactics for students at the University of Oldenburg.
Following the presentations, we hope for a productive exchange and a stimulating discussion between the subject and study seminar leaders, teachers, lecturers and researchers.
