The ERASMUS programme (ERASMUS: European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) of the European Union serves the exchange of students and teachers between European universities. The exchange programme requires a bilateral agreement with the partner university. The programme enables students to spend three to twelve months abroad. More detailed information can be found on the website of the International Office (IO).

Applying

Students from all disciplines who have completed at least the first year of a Bachelor's degree programme at the start of the semester abroad can apply. You can find more information on the application process on the Erasmus+ pages of the International Office.

Application documents, deadline and selection criteria

You will need the following documents to apply:

• A printout of the Erasmus online application
• A one-page CV in tabular form
• A letter of motivation of one to two pages. Describe your interest in studying abroad andindicate which phase of your degree programme you are currently in and how your planned stay abroad fits in with your studies. Also state what language skills you have.

Erasmus+ exchange places will be allocated after all applications received have been reviewed. The most important selection criteria are the subject-specific fit, your motivation and the required language skills. You will receive notification of the success of your application by approx. 15 February.

You will then find a list of the Erasmus partner universities for physics. Please get in touch with the contact person at the respective university directly and enquire about the specific conditions before you apply!
