For the first time, PPRE Alumni gathered to extend a warm welcome to new and current students at Campus Oldenburg this October. Alumnus Robin Marques Pais shares his experience of the PPRE gathering.

Finally, all our new PPRE students have arrived in Oldenburg. Meet the new batches of SuRE and EMRE.

Last July, two PPRE alumni, Prof. Gerd Heilscher (PPRE 1987-88) and Aakash Sharma (PPRE 2019-20), met up and talked about their PPRE experiences. 

Three of our PPRE alumni, Mr. Henry Wasajja (EMRE 2010/11), Dr. Al-Mas Sendegeya (PPRE 1999-2000), and Mr. Wisdom Ahiataku Togobo (PPRE 1997-98), met in Ghana.

At the March 2023 meeting of the ForWind board, Prof. Dr. Kerstin Avila from the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg was accepted as a new member of ForWind. This came only days after she started her professorship at the Department of Physics at Oldenburg University.

There is no better way to start a scientific career: Maria Davila, research associate of the OFFIS research group "Sustainable Manufacturing Systems", was awarded the "Best Poster Award" at the IRTC conference in Lille, France, fittingly at the start of her PhD.
