Zubair Alshikhi (PPRE 2023-25) shares highlights from the annual PPRE-Challenge Beach Volleyball Tournament held on September 18^th, 2024, at Wechloy sports ground.

PPRE welcomed 36 new international students in October ‘24 to take up their Master studies in the field of Renewable Energies at University of Oldenburg: overall 31 students joined the Sustainable Renewable Energy Technologies (SuRE) and 5 the European Renewable Energy (EMRE) Master Programme.

Very saddened to inform that Dr. Gajanana Hegde (PPRE 97) passed away in India on 2nd September after a brief illness. 

PPRE alumni, Ram Prasad Dhital (PPRE 2001-02), was appointed as the Chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC), Nepal, by the Council of Ministers.

In the MOUSE research project, ForWind - Centre for Wind Energy Research at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems IWES are working together to link multi-scale flow simulations.

On November 17^th, 2023, ForWind – Center for Wind Energy Research of the University of Oldenburg successfully organized the „ForWind Wind Physics Symposium 2023”.
