Ilse Dröge-Modelmog was a university lecturer in sociology at the University of Oldenburg from 1974 to 2005. Her work focussed on: Sociological theories, theory of science, cultural sociology and women's and gender studies.
Research focus
In the research focus "Culture and Counterculture of Women", the following projects were financed with third-party funds:
- Culture of women farmers in multi-generational families in the Lower Saxony region
- Women's work in the Ammerland. Modernisation processes in the region from 1850-1919
- Analysis of diary entries and biographies of women in one family over three generations
- Structural change in the village and in agriculture. New moorland settlements as an opposing development
- National Socialism and the present. An empirical study of historical and current cultural patterns of women in the region.
