Appointment procedure at the WiRe department
All appointment procedures at the Department of Business, Economics and Law take into account the regulations on safeguarding the participation rights of the Equal Opportunities Office in personnel measures. The appointment procedure for the recruitment of employees in the area of technology and administration (MTV) is set out in the recruitment guideline regulated. A guideline specifically for the recruitment process for academic positions has not yet been adopted, meaning that the recruitment guideline also serves as a guide here. The "Guidelines for personnel recruitment and selection" provides further information.
Starting with the advertisement of a position, we support recruiters in the gender-sensitive formulation of the advertisement text. As decentralised Equal Opportunities Officers, we provide advice and support during the recruitment process, both during the constitution of the academic appointment and selection committees (BK) and during the interviews. We therefore ask you to communicate the dates to us in good time.
Formal co-determination of personnel procedures on the part of the decentralised and central Equal Opportunities Officers takes place via the so-called accompanying form for the implementation of equality-promoting measureswhich must be completed at the end of each appointment process and sent to the decentralised Equal Opportunities Officers by the person making the appointment, in electronic form only, including any other necessary documents (e.g. minutes of the BK) ().
The accompanying forms are processed by the decentralised Equal Opportunities Officers and forwarded electronically to the central Equal Opportunities Office. To avoid time bottlenecks before recruitment, the documents for the Equal Opportunities Officer should be sent at the same time as the documents for the HR department.

Waiver of advertisement
A waiver of advertising must be justified in accordance with Section 29 of the university charter and is only possible in agreement with the Equal Opportunities Officer. The updated "Joint Catalogue of Criteria of the Staff Representation and the Equal Opportunities Office for the Waiver of Advertisement" (as of 12.10.23) can be viewed for this purpose.
