Andreas Schelske
Biography
Prof Dr Andreas Schelske teaches communication science and public relations at the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Wilhelmshaven. In addition to these two subject areas, he teaches sociology and methods of empirical media research as well as theories of digital media in the degree programme Media Business and Journalism and the Master's in Digital Media. He previously taught sociology and semiotics at the Institute for Multimedia and Interactive Systems at the University of Lübeck in the Department of Computing Science. Before his academic appointment as a professor, he founded his own company as a consultant, scientist and author: www.SoziologischeBeratung.de. He developed his private sector professional expertise in trend research, media content analysis, online market research and medical epidemiology. His studies in sociology with minors in economics, psychology and philosophy proved their worth in teaching and professional practice.
