In the summer semester 2025, we will be offering a new course for Master's students on accounting analytics for the first time.
Data-driven decisions are becoming increasingly important in modern companies, regardless of their size. Controllers use data to analyze past performance and predict future business scenarios. Investors, auditors and regulators use data to identify earnings management or even to uncover possible accounting errors or manipulations. Banks use data to create ratings or predict the probability of default. In “Accounting Analytics”, participants learn content-related and practical skills on how analytics can be used in the context of accounting, controlling and auditing.
