in the Junior Research Group Attosecond Microscopy
Our junior research group deals with the investigation of dynamics at nanoscale interfaces. We use state-of-the-art methods of laser physics and electron microscopy to make previously unexplored processes on the nanoscale visible. For this purpose, we generate light pulses with a duration of atto- to a few femtoseconds and combine them with electron-optical instruments to simultaneously achieve a high temporal and spatial resolution on a sample. We use these methods to investigate charge carrier dynamics at interfaces of nanostructured semiconductors or at the surface of metals.
