For those approaching from the north-west: From Monday, 22 July, until probably 11 September 2024, Ammerländer Heerstraße will be closed to cars, bicycles and pedestrians at the railway subway!

The city advises motorists to bypass the area via the A28 motorway (join at the Wechloy or Neuenkruge junctions, exit at Haarentor and vice versa). Alternatively, the roadworks can be bypassed via Pophankenweg and Artillerieweg or via Küpkersweg and Drögen-Hasen-Weg.

For cyclists and pedestrians, the diversions leads via Im Technologiepark and Bäkeplacken under the railway line back to Ammerländer Heerstraße. However, there are only steps at this subway. Alternatively, you can use the footpath and cycle path along the railway line, which connects the Wechloy stop and Artillerieweg.
