Dates for research-based school science workshops
If, in addition to the topics already on offer, you are interested in visiting our school laboratory, we are also looking for motivated classes and teachers in the coming term to help us develop new materials for chemistry lessons. If you are interested, please get in touch with the contact persons listed below.
For calendar weeks 50/51, we are looking for a Year 7 or Year 8 class to explore the topic ‘Alchemy – Myth or Reality?’. For calendar weeks 2/3, we are also looking for a Year 7 or Year 8 class to explore the topic ‘Chemistry is everywhere: the chemical reaction’. Interested groups can contact Dr Nicolai ter Horst () directly.
For the upper school, we are looking for interested classes in January (calendar weeks 2–4) to explore the topic ‘Chemistry with Light’. Classes can choose between the main topics of the photocatalytic synthesis of green hydrogen or the reduction of nitrate to ammonia. These topics offer cross-references to the subject areas of nanochemistry and redox chemistry. If you are interested, please contact Malte Petersen ()
