This year's Christmas Lecture (19.12.2024) was organised by Prof. Dr. Timm Wilke and his working group. 

For around an hour, 600 visitors were entertained in two sessions in the lecture theatre at Campus Wechloy with brightly coloured, fluorescent or explosive experiments as well as the odd joke about holiday stress and New Year's Eve fireworks. Home-baked Christmas biscuits and mulled wine/children's punch on sale rounded off the event. For the first time, the Christmas experimental lecture was held in the afternoon for school classes.

The proceeds from the two ticket sales totalling €600 were donated to the Löwenherz children's hospice (Kinderhospiz Löwenherz).
