The position deals in particular with the field of international mobility.

Detailed information on the project

In doing so, the efficient handling of administrative activities must be taken into account.

Tasks:

  • Detailed analysis of the current processes for applying for and settling business trips in consultation with the relevant administrative employees
  • Comparison of the current situation with the requirements for determining greenhouse gas emissions
  • Development of various proposed solutions for integrating the calculation of emissions into the administration and processing of business trips
  • Presentation of the project progress in the Climate Neutral University working group

Requirements:

  • At least a good Bachelor's degree in economics or social sciences, alternatively in Computing Science or in the natural sciences
  • Distinctly independent and autonomous way of working
  • Work experience in a university context or basic knowledge of university structures is desirable
  • Interest in the mobility sector and the balancing of greenhouse gas emissions
  • Good project management skills

The position is initially limited until 30 September 2022.

If you are interested, please send us a concise letter of motivation with a short CV and relevant evidence of previous experience by 20 March 2022 by email to . If you have any queries, you are also welcome to contact this email address.

Goal

The aim of the project is to create an integrated climate protection concept (IKK) for the university.

The university is endeavouring to achieve climate neutrality.

Contents

With the involvement of the various stakeholders and university members, an integrated climate protection concept is being drawn up as part of this project, which covers the key areas in terms of greenhouse gas emissions (e.g. energy, mobility, etc.).

To this end, a greenhouse gas balance sheet for the university will first be drawn up with external support so that the key areas for action can be identified. Specific targets for reducing emissions are then set in various participatory processes and measures are developed in line with these targets.

Interactive stakeholder participation and communication processes take place throughout the duration of the project.

Runtime

June 2021 - May 2023

The funding programme of the National Climate Initiative

With the National Climate Initiative, the Federal Environment Ministry has been initiating and funding numerous projects that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions since 2008. Its programmes and projects cover a broad spectrum of climate protection activities: From the development of long-term strategies to concrete assistance and investment support measures. This diversity is a guarantee for good ideas. The National Climate Initiative helps to anchor climate protection on the ground. It benefits consumers as well as companies, local authorities and educational institutions.
