As part of the Master's module biw 330 Media literacy and digitalisation, student teachers produced scientific podcasts in the seminar "Podcasting! Digital learning with auditory media" seminar produced scientific podcasts. Under the direction of Anja Roß, informative but also entertaining podcasts were created on topics from the field of "Mediatised lifeworlds of young people". At the centre of the podcasts are interviews with experts on topics such as: Cyberbullying, AI and digital games.

The first episode "Cyberbullying takes place online. The school can't do anything about it." A statement that comes up again and again on the subject of cyberbullying. With the help of the interviewees, it is made clear why the topic of cyberbullying also plays an important role for schools and what measures schools and teachers can take. An exciting interview was conducted in line with the topic of the podcast. Silke Müller, the headteacher of Waldschule Hatten, and Thomas Hillers, who is part of the school's digital team, spoke as experts from the field in this podcast. Waldschule Hatten is a pioneering school in many areas of digitalisation and has also taken up the topic of cyberbullying in everyday school life. The podcast talks about the structures of bullying and shows the special features of cyberbullying compared to traditional bullying. The various actors involved in (cyber)bullying are highlighted. It also provides an insight into current studies that illustrate how relevant the topic is for prospective teachers. The interviewees provide an insight into the presence of the topic in everyday school life and what prevention and intervention measures at schools can look like. -
The second episode of "Social networks" by and with Sophie Dierks, Sarah Klein and Julia Klose. What are social networks? What are they used for? And what do you need to know about their opportunities and risks? In the third episode of this podcast, Maximilian Fischer and Luca Scholten want to provide information about digital games in a school context. They talk about why digital games are still largely frowned upon in schools and chat about some possible uses of digital games in history lessons. In order to talk about more than just theoretical aspects of research, a special guest was invited to this episode. Dr Lucas Haasis not only leads seminars on this very topic as a lecturer at the University of Oldenburg, but also gives nationwide training courses for teachers on how to integrate digital games into history lessons. -
The fourth episode deals with a topic that is often the subject of controversy - social networks. This episode looks at the role of social networks. It looks at what social networks actually are and which social networks pupils use. The advantages and disadvantages are also highlighted and media skills are discussed against this background. The topic is addressed from two perspectives. On the one hand, the episode gives an insight into practice, as Alex (teacher and also media officer at his school) was invited. On the other hand, the scientific data available on the topic of social networks is analysed. Feedback and suggestions for further insights from everyday school life are welcomed. -
