Practical field of education and social sciences
Counselling and events for students of education/educational science, special education/rehabilitation education and social sciences
Objective
The "Practical Field of Educational and Social Sciences" is a subject-specific counselling and event programme for students of School I who are aiming for an academic appointment in the non-school sector (i.e. not a teaching profession).
One objective is to establish a link between theory and practice at an early stage. Students receive individual and subject-specific support in the planning and realisation of internships (see also internship exchange) and are advised on questions regarding academic appointments as well as accompanied and supported when starting their academic careers.
The intention is also to enable students to acquire key skills and additional qualifications through a varied programme of events. As part of this programme of events, which changes every semester, students can explore subject areas and fields of work, get to know or deepen their knowledge of practice-oriented methods and make contact with practical institutions.
Target group
Students of the Institutes of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation and Social Sciences with extracurricular career goals.
