On 25 June 2026, the exhibition “Poster im Bundestag: Wissenschaftsfreiheit – die Freiheit zu forschen” was officially opened at the German Bundestag in a ceremony attended by representatives from science, universities and politics. Vice-President of the Bundestag Andrea Lindholz welcomed the participating students and highlighted the importance of research and new ideas for a vibrant democracy.
From more than 100 submissions from 28 universities and higher education institutions, 44 student research projects were selected for the exhibition. The projects provide insights into current research from a wide range of disciplines and present innovative approaches to social and political challenges.
Following the opening ceremony, the students presented their research projects and engaged in discussions with visitors. The exhibition creates a dialogue between student research and political decision-makers, making the diversity of academic work accessible to a wider public.
The exhibition can be visited until 17 July 2026 in the Paul Löbe Building of the German Bundestag. Further information is available at www.poster-im-bundestag.de.
