Brazil, Ribeirão Preto and São Carlos: University of São Paulo
The University of São Paulo (USP) has eight campuses in Brazil, including Ribeirão Preto, São Carlos and São Paulo. The University of Oldenburg has three cooperation agreements with the University of São Paulo: There is a co-operation with the Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade de Ribeirão Preto (FEA-RP/USP) in Ribeirão Preto and with the Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC) in São Carlos. A co-operation with the School of Economics, Business, Accounting and Actuarial Sciences in São Paulo was added in 2024.

FEA-RP/USP
Ribeirão Preto (Portuguese for "black river") is a city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The nickname "Brazilian California" is due to the region's agricultural industry and cutting-edge technology, wealth and year-round sunny weather. With more than 600,000 inhabitants, Ribeirão Preto is the eighth largest municipality in the state. The total area of the city covers 652.2 square kilometres and lies at an average altitude of 546.8 metres. The city is located approximately 330 kilometres from the capital and 708 kilometres from Brasília, the federal capital.
The FEA-RP was founded in 1992 and is considered one of the best Institutes in Brazil. The campus is park-like and offers great recreational opportunities to combat the stress of studying. The university offers Bachelor's and Master's courses and specialises in the following areas: Financial Accounting and Finance, Accounting, Organisational Studies, Innovation Management and Sustainability, Markets and Value Creation, Social Economics and Economic Development.

Everyday life
The FEA-RP itself does not offer accommodation on campus. However, there is a tried and tested "Buddy Programme" in which exchange students can be accommodated with Brazilian students. They usually share a house or a flat.
Travelling to Riberao Preto should be done by plane or bus, ideally via Sao Paolo as a stopover.
