Holder of the Professorship of Economics Education with a focus on vocational orientation, Institute spokesperson IfÖB and Head of the Department of Vocational and Academic Orientation at the CvO University affiliated institute (IÖB)

The professorship's research focus is on teaching/learning and qualification research.

The professorship is particularly concerned with the reform projects initiated by the state of Lower Saxony for the Hauptschule (introduction of the so-called company or practical days) and the further development of work placements and is involved in the integration of various practical elements, such as student companies or simulation offices, in teaching and research as well as in the internet-based further education and training of teachers. The professorship was funded by the regional economy for five years. In teaching, he is involved in the B.A./B.Sc. and M.Ed. degree programmes in Economics Education and the doctoral degree programme at School II.
