ELEVATE (Entrepreneurship Learning via Engagement and Team Education)

A project for teacher education that makes an impact.

ELEVATE connects university, school and social challenges through entrepreneurship education, project-based learning and real classroom practice. The project strengthens the professionalisation of prospective teachers and contributes to the further development and modernisation of teacher training.

Our idea

Student teachers develop and supervise teaching projects at schools on their own initiative. Together with pupils, they work on real, socially relevant issues - with entrepreneurial methods and real practical relevance. The students are continuously supported by university lecturers and school mentors. Structured reflection formats such as portfolios, peer feedback and peer counselling ensure theoretical embedding and professional development.

Central feature

Students take on a dual role in ELEVATE: they develop entrepreneurship education concepts at the university and at the same time put them into practice at school. In this way, they learn to promote entrepreneurial, creative and reflective behaviour together with pupils.

Our project - in three phases

1. Preparation
   Students are trained in entrepreneurship education, didactics and methods and prepared for their role.
2. Implement
   Students design and accompany project lessons at schools - during the semester and with a practical focus.
3. Reflect & transfer
   Experiences are analysed, documented and made accessible to many as OER materials.

• Development and testing of project-based teaching units for the implementation of entrepreneurship education in school lessons
• Development and testing of a scalable university didactic teaching-learning format for teaching entrepreneurship education to students
• Creation of an open handbook with practical examples, method overviews and reflection aids
• Realisation of transfer workshops
