The Economics Education Unit (IfÖB), School II, Department of Economics and Law

is currently seeking a student assistant to work approximately 40 hours per month, starting immediately .

The IfÖB (https://uol.de/ioeb) trains teachers in the subjects of economics and political economy for general secondary schools.

The successful candidate will assist the Institute with various tasks relating to teaching and research.

The role will primarily involve providing tutorial support for modules on the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Economics Education.

Tasks in this role include, amongst other things, supervising and supporting classes, online sessions and tutorials.

Entry requirements:

Basic knowledge of economics and the didactics of economics (preferably a degree in Economics Education or Political Economy – from the second semester onwards)

Flawless command of the German language, both spoken and written

Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office products and experience in literature research

Organisational skills, flexibility, the ability to work in a team, independence and reliability

Willingness to contribute to various third-party funded projects at the Institute relating to career guidance and Economics Education.
