Below is a step-by-step guide on how to set up Mozilla Thunderbird so that you can receive and send emails. You can download Thunderbird from Mozillamessaging.com.

Step 1 – Set up account

Step 2 – Configure Exchange access

Click on ‘Get messages’ to retrieve all your emails from the server.
Right-click on your account name to open the menu. Click on 'Settings’.
To move items from the Trash, select the ‘Deleted items’ folder.
Then click ‘Advanced’.
In the advanced account settings, deselect the option ‘Show only subscribed folders’ by clicking on the checkbox until the checkmark disappears. Close the window by clicking ‘OK’.
Click on ‘Copies & Folders’ in the list on the left-hand side.
In the section ‘When sending messages automatically’, under ‘Place a copy in:’ select ‘Other folder:’ and then select ‘Sent items’ form the drop-down menu. Thunderbird is now set up on your laptop. You can save the settings by clicking on ‘OK’.
To set up Thunderbird on your desktop computer, click on ‘Synchronisation & storage' on the left-hand side. Under ‘Message Synchronisation’, uncheck the box to disable the storage of messages on this computer and in the ‘Disk space’ section enable the optionLeave the default setting '1 week' as it is.
The necessary settings have been saved. Close the account configuration settings by clicking on ‘OK’.
