Prof Dr Kathrin Peters
About the person
Studied communication design at the University-GH Essen (Diplom 1994), then cultural studies and art history at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where she completed her doctorate (2007).
Since April 2011 Professor at the Institute of Art and Visual Culture, previously research assistant at the Braunschweig University of Art, the Institute of Art History at the Free University of Berlin, the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne, and deputy professor in the degree programme European Media Studies, Potsdam.
Also co-founder and editorial director of the journal Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft, curatorial projects: "die stadt von morgen", Akademie der Künste, Berlin (2007), and co-founder of the online magazine Nach dem Film (since 1998, editorial member until 2010).
