1st Future Platform: Mobility in Times of Climate Change
What are the challenges for the mobility sector in times of climate change and how can politics and companies meet these challenges? Should automotive companies rely on batteries or hydrogen? And what role do new urban concepts, speed limits and bans on vehicles with combustion engines play on the way to more sustainable mobility?
These and other questions were discussed at the future platform "Mobility in Times of Climate Change", which was held online on November 3 from 1 to 3.30 pm. During the event, three experts first explained their views on pressing issues in the context of mobility and climate change. This was followed by a plenary discussion, during which discussions from the audience were discussed. The following experts participated in the event:
- Kerstin Meyer (Project Manager Vehicles and Drives, Agora Verkehrswende): "Electric mobility and the Decarbonization of Transport".
- Dr. Norbert Korallus (Head of Transport Planning, City of Oldenburg): "Strategies and measures for more sustainable mobility in municipalities".
- Dr. Stephan Krinke (Head of Strategy and Programs, General Secretariat Sustainability Volkswagen AG): "The Volkswagen Decarbonization Program - The Road to CO2 Neutral Mobility".
