Job: Field sales and travelling with a focus on presenting digital health applications (DiGA) to urologists. This includes setting up and further developing
in my region, technical discussions on studies, congress and trade fair activities and supporting quality circles. I also provide feedback to medical and product teams, organise training for practice teams (doctors & MFAs) and am the regional contact for other specialisms.
What I love about my current job: The combination of variety and personal interaction. Through direct contact with healthcare facilities, I get an honest insight into the reality of healthcare on a daily basis and can understand what really motivates practitioners, where hurdles lie and what potential innovative healthcare solutions actually have.
Training and studies: Bachelor of Arts in Public Health, Master of Science in Health Services Research
How did my Master's programme prepare me for my current job? During my Master's degree, I was able to sharpen my profile and focus on areas that I hadn't previously been able to study in depth, such as digitalisation in healthcare and an initial insight into medical technology. Coupled with the focus on quantitative and qualitative data analysis, I feel very well prepared, both theoretically and practically, to move confidently in the still young DiGA environment.
That's why I recommend the Master's in Health Services Research: the interdisciplinary approach and the opportunity to set my own specialisations were decisive for me. The programme even prepared me beyond my expectations and gave me skills that I have been able to use in innovative healthcare companies to this day.
