16 young people started their academic appointments at the University of Oldenburg today.
"As one of the largest employers in the region, the university is doing everything it can to provide the young professionals with sound and qualified training," said Nikolas Lange, Vice President for Administration and Finance. The aim is to offer young people the best possible career prospects.
This year, the university is training three precision mechanics, three systems electronics technicians, one animal keeper, two chemical laboratory technicians, two gardeners, two IT specialists, one pool attendant and two media and information services specialists. Their training lasts three years. In recent years, numerous university apprentices have been honoured as chamber, state and national winners.
