Oldenburg University Society organises the 3rd Innovation Dialogue Are innovations often just the emperor's new clothes? Can the "old" also be innovative? And how long is "new" new? These are questions that will be addressed at the 3rd UGO Innovation Dialogue on 4 August at 17:00 in the lecture hall of the University Library. With this series of events, the University Society offers young managers from companies and other organisations in the region in particular the opportunity to deal with questions about the future in workshops. The cooperation partner is the Start-up and Innovation Centre (GIZ) at the University of Oldenburg. It is particularly important for young managers in the business world to engage in dialogue with questions about the future outside of their company and thus sometimes gain a different perspective, explained Oliver Thomsen, member of the UGO board. The GIZ is an ideal partner for this. "How new do innovations have to be?" is the introductory lecture by Prof Dr Stephanie Birkner, Junior Professor of Female Entrepreneurship at the Department of Economics and Law at the University of Oldenburg. This will be followed by the "Innovation Challenge" workshop, which will critically scrutinise what "innovation" actually means. The entire event should last no more than two hours and will culminate in a "joint finale" over a glass of wine, as the programme puts it. Registrations for the 3rd UGO Innovation Dialogue, which is open to all, should be sent to the Office for Communication (bfk): . Contact: Oliver Thomsen, Tel.: 0441-404-210
