Installations, paintings and mixed media between art and architecture are on display in the student exhibition "Space and Architecture", which is currently on show in the lecture theatre building (Haarentor campus, A 14, Uhlhornsweg 86).
Under the direction of lecturer Natascha Kaßner from the Institute of Art and Visual Culture, nine students have spent the past two semesters researching and working on the topics of "Space and Architecture". They were inspired by the works of architects Frei Otto and Frank Lloyd Wright, the blob architecture approach and Russian constructivism.
There were also some very individual ideas: One wall installation, for example, shows aesthetic research on the island of Lamu off the East African coast. Another installation deals with psychiatry in Russian literature.
The exhibition is on display until 8 July and the building is open on weekdays from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm.
