Three students from the "Material Culture: Textiles" bachelor's degree programme are inviting people to an artistic mediation project on Tuesday, 2 August from 3 pm at the Bloherfelde/Eversten community work meeting point (Bloherfelder Straße 173). Under the title "Klangkörper - begegnen in Vielfalt", Heike Naß, Tabea Mund and Anna-Lena Carstensen will set up three sound stations in addition to an open barbecue afternoon. The participants will be played a word in any language via headphones. What they hear is intended to inspire them to give the word a new and personal meaning. With the help of scissors, glue, paper, paint, fabric and much more, this meaning can then be given a shape. Only afterwards is it revealed which translation the mysterious word corresponds to. The artworks are displayed on a wall, symbolising the diversity of people. "Sound bodies" have already been created at the university's summer festival in June.
