In future, young academics at Bremen University of Applied Sciences will be able to take part in qualification programmes offered by the University of Oldenburg's Graduate Academy. This is provided for in a cooperation agreement signed by University President Prof. Dr Babette Simon and Prof. Dr Karin Luckey, Rector of Bremen University of Applied Sciences, in Oldenburg.
"The excellent promotion of young academics is a particular concern of the University of Oldenburg. We are delighted that young scientists from Bremen University of Applied Sciences will be taking advantage of the qualification programmes offered by our Graduate Academy. This co-operation shows that the north-west science region is moving even closer together in the area of promoting young academics," explained University President Simon on the occasion of the signing. Bremen University of Applied Sciences is the third university in the region, after Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences and Jade University of Applied Sciences, with which the university is cooperating in the area of graduate support.
"With currently around 50 doctoral degree procedures, Bremen University of Applied Sciences actively contributes to the promotion of young scientists and innovation - also for the region. As one of the strongest research universities for applied sciences in Germany, Bremen University of Applied Sciences has set itself the goal of creating attractive conditions for young academics. The co-operation with the University of Oldenburg contributes to this in a special way," said Luckey.

The Graduate Academy supports doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and junior professors in their career development.
