Teacher training

Teacher training working group (formerly AG Schule)

The working group deals with matters relating to teacher training. In doing so, it fulfils a mandate of the Institute of Educational Sciences (§ 2 (3) of the Institute Regulations). As an organisational sub-unit of the Institute, its task is to prepare decisions and resolutions for the Institute Council, to ensure that teaching in the educational sciences is in line with content (module descriptions) and needs (range of courses), to plan the financial resources allocated to it to ensure study quality in a needs- and innovation-oriented manner and to enable the flow of information to the committees. In addition, the monthly meetings serve as a platform for teachers to exchange ideas and discuss ways to optimise teaching processes.

The teacher training working group is made up of lecturers from the regular educational science modules pb 006, pb 007, ASP, Biw 010, biw 020, biw 040, biw 051/052 and the educational science courses in the Master's degree module MAM and the GHR project band. In addition, the project-oriented modules pb 238 to 240 in the professionalisation programme for school social work are anchored in the teacher training working group.

Representatives of the Teacher Training student body, the Coordinator of Studies and Teaching and representatives of the Didactic Centre (DiZ) regularly take part in the meetings of the working group as advisory members.

The Teacher Education Working Group cooperates with the Pedagogy Working Group, the Educational Psychology Working Group, the Sachunterricht Working Group and the Further Education and Education Management Working Group.
