General information about SEM
Humanity is increasingly coming up against ecological and social boundaries. Problems such as global warming, loss of biodiversity, epidemics or poverty are becoming more and more urgent. To deal with these challenges, leaders with solid economics knowledge and a well-founded cross-sectional knowledge of ecological and social issues, as well as a strong sense of responsibility are in demand, i.e. experts in sustainability.
The Master's programme of Sustainability Economics and Management (SEM) is designed to train these people. It is designed to provide graduates with the technical, analytical, interdisciplinary and social skills to enable them to work in companies, NGOs or international organisations.
The teaching activities of the programme are closely linked to the environmental and sustainability related research of the University of Oldenburg.
