Data subject rights for research participants
The Trustee Office is the point of contact for data subjects whose personal data is processed in research projects at the University of Oldenburg.
The independent Trustee Office of the University of Oldenburg serves as a contact point for study participants to exercise your rights as a data subject, provided that these research projects are carried out in cooperation with the Trustee Office.
You have the right to obtain information about the data concerning you, including a copy (Art. 15 GDPR) and, if necessary, to request its rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR). You can also lodge an objection (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to receive the data you have provided in a standardised electronic format or to have it transmitted to a body specified by you (right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR).
Finally, you can revoke your declaration of consent to the data controller at any time (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR).
