At the GMDS Annual Conference 2026, Jana Weber was awarded the "Best Bachelor Thesis" prize in the field of Medical Computing Science for her thesis entitled "Potentials and limits of the use of data-driven algorithms for the personalised treatment of premature babies". As part of her bachelor's thesis, Jana examined the applicability of existing algorithms for the personalised treatment of premature babies at Oldenburg Hospital by analysing and modelling the data required for this and comparing it with the current data availability on the neonatal ward.
