How it works
How it works
The "Grundriss der deutschen Grammatik" offers a comprehensive overview of the word grammar of German in Volume 1. Regardless of whether you are reading the book as part of a lecture or seminar at your university or as a self-study course, this programme gives you the opportunity to apply what you have read in exercises. The one or other grammatical analysis task will certainly encourage you to open the book and look something up and learn something new.
When you register for the programme, you will first receive a welcome email. In this email you will find a link to confirm your registration and start the programme as well as another link to stop the programme. After confirmation, you will be sent a worksheet with exercises from the following Monday morning. You can print this out and start working on it straight away. With each new exercise sheet, you will also receive the solutions to the exercises from the previous week, with a few notes and information on where you can look up and continue reading in the "Word". Over the weeks, you will cover the important areas of word grammar: phonology, morphology and grammar. Each area will occupy you for a few weeks and each week will focus on a specific sub-topic. At the end of each sub-area, you will receive an email with revision tasks to consolidate the previous content.
Over time, you will not only become familiar with the grammar of words, you will also notice completely new aspects of German.
The programme ends automatically with the last email.
