ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) communication data platform for the financial community

How can environmental data be communicated with players on the capital market better? The project eco4fin deals with new ways of environmental communication for the capital market with a practical orientation. Scientific methods and already existing procedures related to environmental management information systems (EMIS) are assessed for their application in the daily practice of operations.

New opportunities to better deal with present environmentally relevant business data shall be unveiled. Using the capital market as an example, the environmental communication of companies is studied by applying a stakeholder-oriented and data-driven approach. The goal is to prototypically implement an Environmental-Big-Data-Platform in order to enable purposive communication in accordance with the requirements of the stakeholders.

The research cooperation between the department of Business Information Systems / Very Large Business Applications (VLBA) and the Volkswagen AG offers the chance for practically oriented research. Within the research activities there are opportunities for degree theses.
