22. Norddeutsches Linguistisches Kolloquium (NLK)

We would like to invite you to the 22nd "Norddeutsches Linguistisches Kolloquium" on April 7 and 8, 2022 at Oldenburg University!

Due to the current development of the pandemic, the NLK will no longer take place in hybrid form. Instead, it will be held as an online meeting.

If you would like to attend the 22nd NLK, please send us an informal by March 25, 2022. You will then receive the access link by mail at least one week before the 22nd NLK.

The "Norddeutsches Linguistisches Kolloquium" (NLK) has existed since 1989 and is hosted annually by a different university in Northern Germany. The NLK offers both young and experienced researchers a platform to present and discuss their research projects and results from all areas of linguistics. Students who are in the final phase of their studies are also invited to submit contributions.

The theme of the 22. NLK is "Knotenpunkte der Sprachwissenschaft, der Sprachdidaktik und des Spracherwerbs". The German term Knotenpunkte can be translated as junction, which refers to a place where important streets come together and build something similar to a knot (German: Knoten). Using this image as an analogy, our conference is eager to highlight the areas where linguistics, didactics and language acquisition cross-cut and thus, become their own cross-cutting subject areas.

With the following keynote speakers:

Prof. Dr. Juliana Goschler (German as a Foreign language/German as a Second language; Oldenburg University)

Prof. Dr. Katrin Kleinschmidt-Schinke (Teaching German (linguistics); Oldenburg University)

Prof. Dr. Jörg Peters (Phonetics/Phonology and Low German; Oldenburg University)

With a public evening lecture and discussion:

Prof. Dr. Anatol Stefanowitsch (Language politics, language and discrimination, loanwords; Freie Universität Berlin)
