We are pleased to welcome Niklas Rottinghaus as a new research assistant and doctoral student!

Niklas completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences. He then completed the Master’s program in Business Administration: Management and Law, with a focus on Accounting, Finance and Taxation, at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.

In his master’s thesis, he examined how companies respond to critical NGO campaigns targeting competitors within the same industry. Building on this, his current research interests focus particularly on companies’ voluntary disclosure of sustainability information.
