The 48th Annual Congress of the European Accounting Association (EAA) took place from May 27 to 29, 2026, at the Prague University of Economics and Business. This international conference is one of the key gathering places for European accounting research and provides an important platform each year for academic exchange, feedback on current research projects, and networking with colleagues from around the world. 

Our department was represented in Prague by Niklas Rottinghaus and Prof. Dr. Christoph Sextroh. In addition to the academic program, the focus was particularly on discussions regarding current and key topics such as the future of sustainability reporting in Europe and the realignment of accounting education in the age of AI. The conference demonstrated once again how important personal interaction is for the further development of research, teaching, and collaboration.
