More than 2,000 people took part in further education at the C3L - Center for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg last year: in part-time degree programmes, further education and open university programmes. The new educational programmes and developments in lifelong learning are shown in the C3L's annual report, published for the first time.

It focuses on the expansion of programmes in the field of renewable energies and sustainability. The EFZN Academy is being developed under the leadership of the C3L team as part of a joint project that brings together the Energy Research Centre of Lower Saxony. This will enable the results of Lower Saxony's research to be utilised in practice.

The other new educational opportunities offered by the C3L to bring practice and science together and why learners and companies choose a C3L programme are explained in background reports: a student explains how a part-time degree course can be combined with two jobs. And a personnel manager from Bremen's financial administration describes how the authority is bringing digital expertise in-house.

The reorganisation of psychotherapeutic qualifications is also a topic of the report, as are the record figures for guest students and third-party funding.
