From philosophy and history to German studies and the natural sciences: as a visiting student at the University of Oldenburg, anyone interested can put together their own personalised study or continuing education programme from a choice of more than 600 courses. Enrolment for the 2022 winter semester is now open and will remain so until 31 October.
“In the summer semester, we returned to our pre-pandemic levels and even exceeded them. Among the enrolments are many new guest students who are keen on science, academic exchange and university life,” reports Can Eroglu from the university’s C3L – Centre for Lifelong Learning, which coordinates the guest student programme. As with the summer semester, the winter semester is also planned to take place in person.
Information leaflets on the ‘Studium generale’ are available in bookshops and numerous other distribution points. In addition, the course programme can be viewed on the guest student programme’s website. No specific school-leaving qualification or degree is required to take part. The tuition fee is 120 euros.
