Recent graduates of the 2017 psychotherapy training programme met with colleagues from previous years, supervisors and the training centre team for the annual graduation ceremony.
After at least five years of training under the direction of Priv.-Doz. Dr Joseph Rieforth, the licensed psychological psychotherapists and child and adolescent psychotherapists are now allowed to work independently in a therapeutic capacity and, for example, take over a practice approved by health insurance companies. The University of Oldenburg has been offering this training programme, which follows on from a degree in psychology or education, for 18 years.
The fact that, in addition to this year's graduates, many of those who have been licenced for a longer period of time also attended the ceremony shows a great bond with the training centres and colleagues.
