Visiting student programme to be held online again in the summer semester

From German Studies to Music and Art to the Natural Sciences: through the guest student programme at the University of Oldenburg, interested individuals can put together their own personalised study or continuing education programme from over 600 courses. Registration for the 2021 summer semester is now open. Unlike in previous years, there is no printed course catalogue; instead, courses can be viewed on the guest student programme’s website. No specific school-leaving qualification is required to take part in the ‘Studium generale’. The tuition fee is 120 euros.

Due to the pandemic, the majority of courses are expected to take place online. Videos on the Guest Student Programme website explain how the digital formats work. Participants can contact a telephone IT helpline if they have any technical queries. A free brochure containing information on the guest student programme and other ‘Public Science’ initiatives is available in bookshops in Oldenburg and can be ordered from C3L.
