Guest students start the online semester

Registration for the "Studium generale" from 1 September

The current course catalogue for guest students at the University of Oldenburg is hot off the press and available online. It is aimed at all those interested in taking part in "Studium generale" courses in the 2020/21 winter semester. Proof of a specific school-leaving qualification is not required. Guest students can put together their own personal study or further education programme from over 600 courses: From history, education or German studies to music and art to natural sciences or philosophy. Due to the pandemic, teaching will take place online in the 2020/21 winter semester. Videos on the guest lecture programme website explain how to use the digital formats.
Registration is possible online from 1 September 2020 to 31 October 2020. Every semester, around 500 guest students take the opportunity to gain insights into various academic and research fields at the university. The event directory will be available from 1 September for 4.00 euros in bookshops in Oldenburg city centre and in the university bookshop. It will be sent by post for 5.45 euros. The courses will start on 19 October 2020. Due to the corona pandemic, the planning of the courses has been somewhat delayed, so that all open courses will be visible online by 15 September 2020 at the latest. We ask for your patience. The open courses can be viewed earlier in the printed catalogue.
